Leonard Marshall, B.A.
Executive in Residence
After
an illustrious 13 year career with the New York Giants, Jets, and
Redskins, including 3-Pro Bowls, 2 Super Bowl Championships, and NFL
Defensive Lineman of the Year in 1985/1986, Mr. Marshall stepped
right out of his uniform and into a business suit. Among his early
ventures he was the Co- Founder, Chairman/CEO of Pro Star Athletic,
a licensed Sports apparel company, which was later purchased by
International Apparel Manufacturers Group of New York.
Mr.
Marshall is a graduate of Louisiana State University/Fairleigh
Dickenson University with a degree in Business Finance. He has
garnered extensive experience in the financial markets, particularly
with mergers and acquisitions while he served on the board of
directors of a major NASDAQ listed financial services company.
The
same diligent effort and discipline Mr. Marshall gained in the
sports arena he has now brought to the mortgage business. He teamed
up with Sunshine State Mortgage to obtain his initial training and
then joined forces with Nationsway Mortgage Funding Group. While
learning the business Mr. Marshall aligned himself with Sun Capital
Group of Boca Raton and Premier Mortgage Funding Inc. of Clearwater,
Florida to form Capital Source Mortgage, L.L.C., and became a
Licensed Correspondent Mortgage Lender. Mr. Marshall also formally
served as Director of Corporate Diversity for Promise Healthcare of
Boca Raton, Fl. which he resigned from in April of 2004.
Mr.
Marshall also has received some national and international
prominence for his charitable endeavors. He was a Y2K Hall of Fame
nominee, received the Byron "Whizzer" White Award in 1990, the
United Way Lifetime Achievement Award and Miller Lite Man of the
Year in 1986, the Leukemia Society of America National Chapter's
Boardship, and is now spokesman for Kids in Distress Situations,
Inc. Mr. Marshall is married to Maryann (formerly) Feliciano and is
the father of two girls Erika Christina & Arianna Nicole. |
