Professor Paul Forbes

Professor Paul Forbes, a graduate of Fordham University, he was employed by Texaco, Inc. followed by U. S. Army service where he completed Officers Candidate School and flight training. In Korea, he headed the Eighth Army Maintenance Test Flight section. Following graduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania, he headed Forbes Corporation. This 40 million gallon,70 service station operation, in northern New Jersey was sold to Shell Oil.

As Chairman of the Board of First Petroleum Marketing Company, he began a market development program for Amoco Oil Company. First Petroleum, located in central New Jersey, was sold to Amoco.  Forbes has been featured in a number of national magazine cover stories and is a recipient of the Distinguished Service Award from the Petroleum Marketers Association of America. He has been a speaker at countless Management Institutes through out the country.

After spending several years networking computers for credit card transactions, electronic mail, and data communications, he started a consulting practice that specialized in management, marketing, and motivation to the end of “Helping ordinary people achieve extraordinary things”.

Since 1983 Forbes has taught seventeen different management and marketing courses at Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ. He is currently a Senior Faculty Associate in the Department of Management. In 1991 ,he initiated the “June In China Program” along with the deceased Professor Gil Matos. He has been a guest lecturer in Immaculate Conception Seminary at Seton Hall; the University of Business and Economics in Beijing, China; and the University of Warsaw in Warsaw, Poland.

Paul Forbes was born in New Jersey and currently lives in Morris Plains with his wife Fonce’, a professional writer. They have three daughters and three grandchildren.
