Professor Jay Azriel
Jay
Azriel earned his PhD in Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management in
2003. Before attending the doctoral program at the University at Albany,
Albany, New York, he gained over 15 years of business experience working
in both the private and public sectors. During this time he worked for
large corporations, a small computer software start-up, and the Federal
Deposit Insurance Corporation. In 1991, he earned an MBA in
international business and finance from the American University,
Washington, DC. Professor Azriel has presented at numerous conferences
including the Babson Entrepreneurship Research Conference, the United
States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship, and the
Eastern Academy of Management. His research interests focus issues
concerning strategy management and entrepreneurship including strategic
alliances between young high-technology ventures and larger firms,
corporate entrepreneurship, and nescient entrepreneurs.
