Beta Gamma Sigma Honors Alumnus Gerald P. Buccino With Entrepreneurship
Award
Beta Gamma Sigma, the international business honor society, has honored Seton Hall University alumnus Gerald P. Buccino, ’63 M.B.A., Ph.D. with the 2005 Medallion for Entrepreneurship.
“The Beta Gamma Sigma Medallion for Entrepreneurship is a recognition that honors individuals for both their business creativity and their commitment to bettering humankind,” said Sara M. Freedman, president of Beta Gamma Sigma and dean of the College of Business and Industry at Mississippi State University. “Through his generous contribution of time, talent and resources, Dr. Buccino has made a difference in the lives of young people committed to reaching their potential as leaders. Beta Gamma Sigma is proud to join the Stillman School in honoring both his entrepreneurial and philanthropic successes."

Stillman School Dean Karen Boroff presented Dr. Buccino with the award at a special ceremony held April 26 in Jubilee Hall.
Dr. Buccino is Chairman and CEO of Buccino & Associates Inc., a consulting firm specializing in turning around distressed companies, with offices in Manhattan and Chicago. Dr. Buccino is considered one of the deans of the turnaround management profession, with more than 30 years of experience in the field.
In 1996, Dr. Buccino established an endowment in perpetuity of a scholarship at the Stillman School of Business’ Center for Leadership Studies. Additionally, Dr. Buccino has created the Buccino Foundation, which provides significant contributions for medical research, the handicapped, battered women, and the homeless and other philanthropic causes.
