Entrepreneurship Courses Offered for Fall 2008
UNDERGRADUATE
BMGT 4640 Entrepreneurship --
credits.
Management elective. In this introductory course to entrepreneurship,
students will learn basic entrepreneurship processes, principles and
frameworks and then apply them to a variety of real world situations.
Students will learn how to generate, develop and analyze new venture
ideas and practice the skills needed for launching successful new
ventures. Meets Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. Instructor
to be announced. Pre-requisites: Principles of Management (BMGT 2501) or
permission from instructor, or Center Director Susan Scherreik.
This course counts toward the Undergraduate Certificate in

GRADUATE
BMGT 7540
Entrepreneurship -- 3 credits. Management elective. This
introductory course to entrepreneurship focuses on the practical,
hands-on skills needed to successfully launch a business. Students learn
how to recognize a viable business opportunity, cope with the challenges
entrepreneurs face, identify and obtain needed resources and write and
present a business plan. Includes many guest lectures by successful New
Jersey entrepreneurs. Taught by Adjunct Professor Tom Basilo, a
successful entrepreneur and Seton Hall alumnus. No pre-requisites.
